Multiphase and Complex Fluids Flow Laboratory
The Multiphase and Fluids Flow Lab at California State University, Long Beach specializes in advanced computational fluid dynamics. We focus on polydisperse multiphase fluid dynamics, turbulent scalar mixing, reacting flows, and complex fluid systems.
As a research student at the MCFFL , I am investigating the flow over blunt body geometries during re-entry. I utilize an open-source Computation Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software OpenFoam to run and simulations in conjunction with Paraview to visualize and plot my results. By the end of my research, I am to deliver a 20-30 page report detailing simulation results, including data analysis, methodology, and findings.
